Zeina A. Azzi

Zeina A. Azzi joined Obeid and Medawar Law Firm (O&M) in 2012 as a Trainee Lawyer. She is a member of the Beirut Bar Association (Syndicate of Lawyers).

Born in 1991, Zeina graduated from the Faculty of Law and Political Science of Saint Joseph University with an LLB in Private Law in 2013. She pursued her studies at Paris II Assas University where she obtained a Masters II (DEA) in International Private Law and International Commercial Law in 2014. Zeina is currently preparing for her PHD thesis in the subject of International Private Law before the same renowned institution in Paris. She obtained in 2013 a certificate in International Criminal Law and International Criminal Proceeding from the Hague Academy in collaboration with the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL).

Between 2011 and 2013 Zeina was a member and Chief of the Lebanese delegation who represented Lebanon in Luxembourg, Montreal and Rome at the international French Model of the European Parliament (Simulation du Parlement Européen Canada-Québec-Europe). She also participated in the Youth Parliament of the Saint Joseph University for three consecutive years and in “the Model United Nations Program” of the “Lebanese American University” (LAUMUN).

Zeina is an activist in many humanitarian organizations. She is President and co-founder of “HaydaBaytak” NGO (A scholarly fund that assists students who have lost either (or both) of their parents) and is also a member of the organization “Dispensaire juridique” of Saint Joseph University, that offers pro bono advice in Law for people in need. At O&M Zeina specializes in international law and international arbitration, civil law, foreign marriage law, banking law, insurance and reinsurance law, commercial law and corporate law. Zeina worked on different arbitration cases before local and foreign institutions and on corporate and real estate restructuring in order to identify the best legal and tax structures for clients.

Zeina is trilingual, fluent in Arabic, English and French.
