Dr. Joseph M. Saadé

Dr. Joseph M. Saadé is a Partner at the Obeid and Medawar Law Firm (O&M) since its date of establishment in 2007.

Born in 1937, Dr. Saadé graduated with a Bachelor degree in Law from the Saint-Joseph University, Beirut – Lebanon in 1960. He pursued his studies at the Faculty of Law of Paris (Panthéon-Sorbonne) where he obtained a Masters’ degree (DEA) in Private Law in 1965. He received his Phd degree in 1970 from the same renowned institution in Paris in the subject of “Indivisibilité du Compte Courant”.

In 1960, he was elected President of the National Union of Students in Lebanon (UNEL), where he was engaged in several national and international activities, what led him to present himself as a candidate for the Baabda district in the parliamentary elections in 1972 where he got 5000 votes.

Dr. Saadé established his own law firm in Beirut in 1970. Between 1972 and 1978, he was a lecturer at the Faculty of Law at the Lebanese University.

Dr. Saadé represented many foreign Clients from France, Germany, United Kingdom, Greece, Venezuela, and many other countries in the MENA region.

He is trilingual, fluent in English Arabic and French.
